Who we are and the scope of this notice
Equipment Bazaar is a trading name of CEFS Plastic Limited (Company No: 08056067), the controller of personal information where we decide how and why it is used. This notice covers Equipment Bazaar’s website, sales, delivery, customer service, warranty and marketing activities.
It does not control how an independent third-party website or service uses information. Please read the privacy notice of any external service you choose to use.

How we collect information
We receive information directly from you when you telephone, write to us, make an enquiry, place an order, request delivery or warranty support, submit information through the website or join our mailing list.
Our contact and warranty forms prepare an email draft in your own email app. You must send that email to submit your enquiry; preparing the draft does not itself submit a message to our team. Some technical information is collected automatically when your browser requests a page. We may also receive relevant information from payment providers, manufacturers, service engineers, carriers, business account contacts and fraud-prevention or identity-verification services where necessary.
How and why we use information

Lawful basis: consent, subject to electronic-marketing rules. You can unsubscribe from email updates at any time. Essential messages about an order are separate. We do not use personal information for solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.

We do not sell personal information. Where a supplier processes information for us, we require it to protect the information and use it only for the agreed service.
Retention and security
We keep personal information only for as long as needed for the purpose collected, including completing orders and warranties, maintaining tax and accounting records, resolving disputes and meeting legal or regulatory duties. Different records therefore have different retention periods. Marketing contact details are retained until you unsubscribe or the information is no longer useful for that purpose.
We use reasonable organisational and technical safeguards to protect information against accidental loss, misuse, unauthorised access, alteration or disclosure. No internet service is completely secure, so please contact us promptly if you believe information has been misused.

International transfers
Some technology, payment, manufacturer or support providers may process information outside the United Kingdom or European Economic Area. Where data protection law requires it, we use an approved transfer mechanism or another lawful safeguard and assess whether appropriate protection is provided.
